a couple more sleepless nights to complete applied research report. which ended all report submissions this sem. inexplicable joy of ridding the nasty reports. i do hope they turn up well =/
headed down to town. met up with liquan at raffles city. then went to bugis to meet up with ali. walked around abit more as the birthday gurl and manda weren't arriving anytime soon. finally decided that we were too hungry and headed over to clarity's cafe. food was alright only. but the price was rather reasonable.
parted with wx who had to leave for another friend's party. and lq got her guy to fetch us all down to hollandv for dessert. had tea and desserts there before heading home. i was so tired that i was practically stoning the night away. or rather i felt as if i had a couple rounds of cocktails and beer into the falling asleep mode.
concussed soon after manda forwarded me the pictures.
dragged myself up and out the next day for gems training for imf. expectedly totally boring and all if not for the friends. was super late for the last jazz by the beach. and supervisor1 franco was so nice about it. made us feel so guilty. well for me at least. not sure bout felix. and thanks for the taxi ride down =) but u're quite lousy yes? fancy getting carsick. =P
the gurls headed down to dxo for some party of which i remember the name not. dad came to pick me up with the whole family in the car. headed to makansutra for supper. walked over to dxo to say hibyes to lora and niven. the whole place was packed like ants round a candy.
second part of gems training. with some stupid ass giving a pseudo pep talk. no more comments.
headed down to the night safari with serene and junie. shirley had comp tics in for us. haven't been there since gawdnoeswhen. ten years ago? was it even open yet? anyhows, it was an interesting trip down. with a nice ambience coupled with great weather. i'd love to see more of tigers, leopards and the wild animals please =)
tried to surprise junie with a cake and all. that lucky gurl got herself complimentary ice cream from ben&jerry's on top of a caucasian passing his b&j's discount coupon to her. boy was she a happy gurl.
nothing eventful at luge on monday. but it was fun there no less. got to chat with salihin (ithinkthatshisname) who worked at mortons before. is that cool or is that cool. anyhows, he was sharing with me about his experience there.
cleared the rest of the individual interviews and presentations by the end of the week. were we very happy gurls. VERY HAPPY indeed.
headed to marina square after applied research presentation on fri. didn't prepare for the presentation again. =/
lunched and shopped. met mazlan on the way back to tas for marketing tutorial. had this group of indian tourists who were seated next to me. and one of them was too close for comfort. not in the phsical sense tho'. but i had to keep my back to him while talkin to the gurls for he kept peering over my shoulder. =/
was set for tanning on saturday with drey and junie. but junie had family stuff and that leaves me and drey. guess what when you put two tardy queens together? super postponed tanning session. but lucky for us, the sentosa shuttle queue was not long and there wasn't a crowd at the beach. great sun and great weather but not much of a tan anyways.
stopped by at the luge to say hi to silin who was working her ass off at the ticketing counter. she was so busy that i couldn't even offer her my slurpee.
stopped over at drey's place for dinner before heading over to ps. did a lil shopping while drey and the gurls watched lake house.
was browsing thru dorothy perkins and spotted a plain yellow bikini. in my size too. how lucky. good things come to those who wait -beams-
met up with the gurls after together with pan and eugene and choukin's two other guy frens. headed over to catch the fireworks. fireworks were yum. but it would've been better if we got closer. then marinasquare and subsquently makansutra for supper and laughter. waited damnass long and caught the last 502 home.
shopped at bugis with family after piano. i've gotta head down there someday with one of the gurls. so many pretty things. bought a pretty dress which i'll prolly hardly wear it. =P then again, when do i ever wear dresses. i have like six sitting in the cupboard worn once or lesser.
second last day at luge. poured heaps. uneventful but great time there. but it seemed that some were having a racist day. but all in good fun. considering temping there.
another two weeks to go. gonna hafta mug =/ time to bring out the specs. pillowatsofa. midnightsnacks and wadnots.
aights. with a weather like now. i'm sure i'll oversleep. pinkskies. strongwind. largefatraindrops.
