sarah's once a year update is finally here!

the past week or so reminds me why i am working as what i am in the first place. 

TRAVEL TRAVEL TRAVEL. 

and better yet with the craziest bunch of people ever. 

featuring my companions for this 10 days leave, 8 days worth of wonderful trip.

the girl with one thousand and one stupid faces. 

the girl who boxes in her sleep one day 

and hugs my leg to sleep the other.

and the girl who came up with this emo pose

and got boxed in the middle of the night.

it seems for this trip we were forever running, forever rushing for time.

if only we had 48 hours a day, 

and twice the amount of energy.

first it was getting on our flight in sg. 

thinking that we had tonnes of time for our 940 flight, 

we were still at yakun at 920.

930 saw us running for the skytrain. and then to our boarding gate. 

ended up having to wait for more than 30mins due to some technical problem. 

over seventeen hours of flight and a transit in tokyo, 

we finally arrived in la. 

not wanting to waste anytime, 

we decided to head out to santa monica beach after check-in. 

four tired girls, 

one hour long and bumpy bus ride later.

walking along a stretch of road 

where we chanced upon a cupcake store. 

got tempted to get these decadent yummies for next day's breakfast.

and i managed to sneakily buy a candle and happy birthday chocolate

without the birthday girl's knowledge.

and we walked somemore

past the famed los angeles palm trees. 

before arriving at santa monica beach.

hung around and photowhored while waiting for the sunset.

this is when i really wished i had yanwan's cam to play around with.

headed down to third street promenade after.

and by the recommendation of the cupcake people, 

we dined at one of the local diners.

 johnny rockets where we found the best buffalo wings ever.

another one hour of bus journey back,

alighted too many stops too early, 

20mins of walking in the cold, 

we finally got back to our homesweethome for the next 2 nights.

woke up bright and early the next day for our universal studios trip.

breakfast was four cupcakes and greentea.

told you she has the funniest, most idiotic facial expressions.

but do i love this batchgirl so.

a change of two trains and a shuttle later.

wrapped up at universal studios at around 6 

and headed over to hollywood.

we walked and we walked. 

and this was the best we could get.

gave up finding where u could take photos with the hollywood casts. 

and so we made an impromptu decision to watch a musical.

it was a great production 

but alas we were all too tired to fully enjoy it.

and that concluded our second day. 

gotta prepare for dinner at sushi tei. 

with fiona and ms chan the girl with stupid photo faces now. 

and maybe shop for a nice book for scrapbooking.
